Vitoria & Ross

Drawn in Salvador, at Praia da Paciencia, on a burning hot day, skin covered in SPF 70. I was sketching Vitoria and Ross, a couple visiting home from the UK. I worked facing the ocean, with the sharp lines of buildings and stairs behind them. I loved the way they sat together, close, connected, yet still in their own space. Heat, salt, concrete. And, of course, agua de coco.
