Fast, Raw, and Alive

Sketches are my happy place. These works always begin out in the world… on a beach, at a café, or a street corner in Recife. I sit quietly with my 25×25 sketchbook and draw what I see, or more often, what I feel. It’s fast, instinctive, and deeply human.

These are live, impressionistic sketches of figures and architecture, drawn with minimal, expressive line. They are not about accuracy, but about atmosphere and intimacy. I rarely overthink them. The lines are loose, the rhythm intuitive. They don’t take long, and many of them I’ve given away. I love that they keep living elsewhere, telling stories without me.

This is where play is purest. No plan, just movement. No finish line, just flow.
